WABI, Arusha Region
Set between Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru in the heart of northern Tanzania, WABI Arusha is a holistic destination that embraces the essence of its land through human-scale architecture and the philosophy of imperfect beauty. Designed by BLINK Design Group with landscape by Maua, the estate comprises a 30-key boutique hotel and 19 private villas across 96 acres of preserved savanna. Each positioned to honour the existing trees and terrain. The communities who know this land are part of how it is built and who it serves. Architecture does not compete with nature here. It quietly belongs to it.
30 Guestroom Suites
Each suite offers 100 sqm of indoor living, a 40 sqm verandah, and a private 44 sqm swimming pool. Floor-to-ceiling glass dissolves the boundary between interior and landscape, framing views of Kilimanjaro, native acacia trees, and roaming wildlife. Natural materials: rammed earth, local timber, hand-woven textiles. ground every space in its setting.

19 Private Residences
Across 66 acres of preserved landscape, 19 private villas. 11 three-bedroom and 8 four-bedroom. are positioned among the existing trees, using nature itself as the primary tool for privacy and organic arrangement. Each villa includes a main living pavilion of 70 sqm, a 68 sqm swimming pool, bedroom suites of 75 sqm each, a kitchen and butler service area, and a multi-purpose pavilion.
The location of each villa was defined by taking into consideration the existing trees, and being a natural resource for privacy of guests. As a result, nature itself is the tool that creates unique organic arrangement in each plot.
