THE LAND
The Royal Palmeraie stretches across 13,000 hectares north-east of the Medina. One hundred thousand protected date palms, planted over centuries, watered by ancient seguia channels that have run without interruption since the Almoravid dynasty. The land is protected by royal decree. It cannot be subdivided, built upon speculatively, or replicated.
WABI occupies 4 hectares of this grove. The title is freehold. The parcel carries a distinguished provenance. A royal gift to its current owner, who entrusted it to WABI through a private relationship. It does not return to market. Zero comparable parcels are available within the Palmeraie Chtatbi district.
This land does not come to market.
It was entrusted.
THE PLACE
The Medina is 19 minutes away. Marrakesh Menara Airport is 25 minutes. The Atlas Mountains (Jebel Toubkal at 4,167 metres) are visible from the northern boundary. Africa's highest ski station at Oukaïmeden is 90 minutes by road.
WABI is not a sanctuary from Marrakesh. It is a place from which to arrive fully within it, and to return to stillness when the city has given what it has to give.
